On Saturday, I had the honor of being a groomsman at the wedding of my good friend David Erdely and his wife, Vicki Hayes. I've known Dave since first grade, and after going through elementary school, getting our Eagle Scout badges and surviving college, this seemed like the next logical, beautiful step. I was thrilled to be such a large part of his best day ever.
Of course, being a groomsman meant that I couldn't spend my time taking photos. Believe me, it was more than a fair trade-off; however, I still wanted to capture some images, the best of which appear below. Main photo duties that day belonged to local (and awesome) event photographer Lerin Morkal.
I must give most of the credit for the first photo to two people: fellow groomsman Jon Myers, who thought the balcony would be a great place to watch the wedding from; and organist Mark Herris, who snapped the shot for me as I stood with the wedding party. Although I thought of the idea of taking a photo from up there, I obviously couldn't do that myself. Thanks, Jon and Mark!
